Pilates and the Exercise Ball
Colleen Craig is a Certified Stott Pilates
Trainer and a writer who developed a unique body conditioning
technique by adapting the Pilates Method to the exercise
ball. Craig uses large and small balls to add resistance,
challenge and variety to the matwork. Some of her exercises
have been adapted from the Pilates apparatus as well as
the fitness circle and barrels. She has documented this
innovative work in the best-selling video Colleen Craig's
Pilates On the Ball. Her books Pilates on the Ball (2001), Abs on the Ball (2003) and Strength Training on the Ball (2005) are published by Healing
Arts Press and are widely available in bookstores.
